  • Pending for Processing: The GST application was successfully submitted. Pending processing with the tax officer.
  • Pending for Clarification: Officer issues a request for clarification. Within seven working days of the notice date, submit clarifications on the portal.
  • Clarification filed-Pending for Order: The applicant successfully filed a clarification. The order is pending with the tax officer.
  • Clarification not filed-Pending for Order: The applicant did not submit a clarification. With the tax officer pending for rejection.
  • Approved: The tax officer approved the application. The applicant received an email with their login information.
  • Rejected: The tax officer rejected the application.
  • Withdrawn: The applicant/taxpayer withdraws the application.

What is the difference between ARN and TRN?

Temporary Reference Number is a unique 15-digit number generated after submitting the new user registration application.

The TRN is valid for 15 days only. After the TRN is generated, you can use it to access your new registration application form on the GST Portal. You can use the TRN to access the portal.
