How Do I Register My New Company Online?

Online registration of your new company becomes easy nowadays. Once you prepare and have all the necessary documents handy, registration becomes an easy process. You must follow four simple steps to register your company online.

Step 1: Digital Signature Certificate(DSC)

You may require Digital Signature Certificates to file the forms on the MCA portal. As the entire registration is online, Digital Signature Certificates are proof of credibility. It is mandatory for all the directors and subscribers of the Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Articles of Association (AOA).

You can obtain DSC from government-recognized certifying authorities. You can also obtain DSC online.

Step 2: Director Identification Number(DIN)

Director Identification Number is the specific number given to the directors of your company. So, the person who is the director of your company must obtain the Director Identification Number. You can obtain it while filing your company registration form. You may receive DIN for a maximum of three directors. In case the company needs more directors, you can appoint them after its incorporation.

While registering, you must have only three directors and get DIN for them. SPICe+ is a web-based company registration form, through which you can receive DIN online.

Step 3: Registration on the MCA Portal

You must fill out the SPICe+ form and apply it in the MCA portal online. The director of your company must register in the MCA portal first. After registration, you can log in and obtain access to the MCA portal services, including filing e-forms and viewing public documents.

You must also reserve your company’s name with two or more additional names. The reservation of your company name is essential because if there are already existing companies or firms in the quoted name, your application may get rejected.

Suppose your application gets rejected; you must re-file your SPICe+form for registration. Once you submit your DSc, DIN, and all other required documents online, registration on the MCA portal completes successfully.

Step 4: Certificate of Incorporation

As you submit the registration application in the MCA portal, the Registrar of Companies will examine the application. Upon successful verification of your application, the ROC will issue the Certificate of Incorporation for your Company.

Your Incorporation certificate comes with PAN and TAN as allotted by the Income Tax Department. You will also receive an electronic mail with the Incorporation Certificate along with PAN and TAN.
