Who Appoints ROC?

 That was about the location of ROCs. Now, let’s move on to the process of filing ROC forms on the MCA portal.

How Do I File ROC Forms Online?

The first thing that needs to be done for the annual filing of the company is to download the forms mentioned below from the MCA portal.

1. ADT-1
2. AOC-4
3. MGT-7

Pro tip: Don’t forget to download the latest version of the forms. 

Then follow the below-mentioned steps-:

1. After downloading the form, enter the CIN number, then click on Pre-fill Button. 
2. Make sure you are connected to the internet.
3. A few fields, like company name, and registered address, will be pre-filled. 
4. Fill up the rest of the forms and attach relevant documents as attachments. The max file size of form AOC-4 should not be more than 10 MB.
5. Tap on the Check form button when you are done filling out the form. The system will display an alert message if you missed out on any fields.
6. Then, click on the signature box and add the Digital Signature Certificate recognized by the MCA portal by clicking on the sign and save option.
7. Now, click on the pre-scrutiny button to get the form analyzed by the system for any errors. 
8. You can make changes, if any, in any of the fields after clicking on the Modify button.
9. When the pre-scrutiny is completed and no error is displayed. The form will be locked.

Now, the next step is submitting the e-form on the MCA portal.

1. It can be done by logging in to the MCA portal and clicking on the annual filing corner and then clicking on the upload eForm button.

2. After uploading the forms, the fee details will be displayed on the screen.

3. Pay the fee by clicking on any of the given payment modes best suited for you:

• Pay by using the Credit Card or
• Pay by Challan or
• Pay by Net Banking 

4. Follow through with the step of the payment portal selected. In the end, an acknowledgment receipt containing the Service Request Number or SRN and payment receipt will be generated.

5. For challan mode, a challan with the challan number will be generated. The user can get the printout of the challan and make the payment at any authorized bank.

Guidelines to Follow While Filing e-Forms 

The following points must be kept in mind while filing and submitting ROC forms.

      1. The file size of the form must not be more than 10 MB.

      2. In case the file size is more than 10 MB, compress the attachments.

      3. The documents, like the Balance sheet and Profit-loss statements, should be filed separately and attached with the relevant form no. only.

      4. Submit the files and documents in the form of PDF documents.

      5. The documents and reports about the balance sheet and profit loss statements must be verified by the company.
